Legal
Terms & Conditions
Last updated 18 August 2026
These Terms govern your use of snily.com: how accounts and subscriptions work, what you warrant when you ask for a takedown notice to be filed, and how liability, termination and disputes are handled.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Welurim Ltd, registration number HE 498252, Nikis 1, Anthoupoli, 2350 Nicosia, Cyprus(“snily.com”, “we”, “us”), governing your access to and use of the snily.com website, applications and services (the “Service”).
By creating an account, submitting a scan request, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into them by reference. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
If you accept these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that entity, and “you” refers to it.
2. The Service
snily.com searches public sources for copies of material you own, records evidence of what it finds, and sends takedown notices to the parties able to remove or delist it, including search engines, hosting providers, domain registrars, network providers and social platforms. Notices are sent on your behalf, in your name, with snily.com acting as your authorised agent.
Candidate matches are produced by automated analysis, including perceptual hashing and image similarity models. Automation determines what is examined; it does not determine what is filed. Every case is reviewed by a person before a notice is sent.
snily.com is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing in the Service or in any report it produces constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship arises from your use of it.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service you must:
- be at least 18 years of age and have capacity to enter into a binding contract;
- own the material you ask us to act on, or hold the rights necessary to enforce it on the owner’s behalf;
- not be barred from receiving the Service under the sanctions or export laws applicable to you or to us.
These are conditions of the Service rather than formalities. A takedown notice is a legal statement, made in your name and subject to penalties for misrepresentation in several jurisdictions.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at [email protected] promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
Accounts are personal to the account holder. You may not sell, share or transfer an account, and you may not use the Service to file notices for third parties unless your plan expressly provides for it and you hold written authority from each rights holder concerned.
We may suspend an account where we reasonably believe it has been compromised, where payment has failed, or where these Terms have been breached.
5. Subscription Plans
The Service is provided on subscription. The plans available, what each includes, and the allowances that apply to each are set out on the pricing page and in your account. Plan allowances - the number of monitored identities, scans, findings or filings included in a billing period - are stated there and apply per billing period.
Allowances do not carry over between billing periods. Unused capacity in one period is not added to the next and is not refundable.
We may change the composition of plans and their prices. A change to the price of a plan you already hold applies from the start of the next billing period after we notify you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
6. Billing & Payments
Paid plans are billed in advance for the period selected at checkout. Fees are stated exclusive of taxes unless indicated otherwise; you are responsible for any VAT, sales tax or similar charge applicable to your purchase, and for any withholding imposed in your jurisdiction. Prices include VAT.
Payments are processed by our payment provider. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to the payment method you provide, in the amount and at the interval shown at checkout, until you cancel.
If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend scanning and filing until payment succeeds. An account left unpaid may be closed, subject to section 18.
7. Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in effect for your plan, unless cancelled before the renewal date. Renewal is what keeps the Service active; a lapse leaves a gap in which nothing is scanned or filed. Where the law requires advance notice of a renewal, we will send it to the email address on your account.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your account or by writing to [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for; the Service continues until then, and scanning and filing stop when it ends.
Notices already filed are not withdrawn on cancellation. A removal is not reversed because a subscription ended, and evidence supporting a filed notice is retained for the period set out in the Privacy Policy.
9. Refund Policy
Fees for a period that has begun are not refundable, because the capacity for that period - scanning, review and filing - is committed when the period starts. We do not refund because a particular page was not removed: the decision to remove belongs to the recipient of a notice, not to snily.com.
A refund is issued where we have charged you in error, where the Service was materially unavailable for a prolonged part of a billing period and we could not restore it, or where the law requires one.
A decision not to file a particular notice is not a refund event. Declining a case where the match is uncertain, where the use appears lawful, or where filing would be misleading is the review described in section 2 working as intended.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, note that scanning begins as soon as you subscribe, which is what you are paying for. By subscribing you expressly request that performance begin immediately and acknowledge that your fourteen-day right of withdrawal is lost once the first scan has run.
10. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Service to:
- request or file notices against material you do not own or are not authorised to enforce;
- suppress lawful commentary, criticism, review, parody, news reporting or other use permitted by law;
- harass, intimidate, dox or retaliate against any person;
- submit material that is unlawful to possess or distribute, including any material depicting a minor;
- interfere with the Service, circumvent its limits, or access it by automated means other than an interface we provide;
- probe, scan or test the security of the Service or attempt to access another customer’s data;
- resell or make the Service available to third parties except as section 4 permits.
An account used in breach of this section is closed. Where a notice was filed on a false basis, we will inform the recipient that it was, and we may report the matter where the law requires.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, interfaces, models, databases, documentation, text and branding, is owned by snily.com or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose during your subscription, and nothing more.
You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Service, remove or obscure any proprietary notice, or use snily.com’s name or marks without written permission.
Reports, evidence records and case histories generated for you may be used freely for enforcement, including in legal proceedings, and may be shared with your legal advisers.
Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation or compensation, and confers no rights in the Service on you.
12. Copyright & DMCA
12.1 What you warrant when you request a filing
Each time you add material or ask for a notice to be sent, you represent and warrant that:
- you own the material, or are authorised to act for whoever owns it;
- you have a good faith belief that the use complained of is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
- the addresses you have identified as your own authorised channels are in fact yours, so that no notice is filed against them;
- you will tell us promptly if any of this changes, including where a licence ends or begins, since that changes what may lawfully be filed.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Notices are filed in your name; these warranties are how snily.com relies on your authority in making them.
12.2 Review and discretion
snily.com reviews each case before filing and may decline to file, or may withdraw a notice, where the match is uncertain, where the use appears lawful, or where filing would be misleading. That discretion exists to protect you as much as anyone else.
12.3 Counter-notices
A person whose content is removed may submit a counter-notice to the recipient of the notice. Where one is received we will tell you what it says and what your options are before any response is made. Pursuing a counter-notice further, including any court filing required to keep material down, is a legal step you take with your own advisers; snily.com does not take it for you.
12.4 Complaints about snily.com
If you believe material hosted by snily.com itself infringes your copyright, write to [email protected] with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), and we will act on it expeditiously.
13. User Content
“User Content” means the reference material, identities, addresses and other information you submit to the Service. You retain all rights in your User Content.
You grant snily.com a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, analyse and reproduce your User Content, and to derive perceptual hashes and embeddings from it, solely to operate the Service for you: to search for copies, to establish matches, and to substantiate notices filed on your behalf. The licence exists for that purpose and ends when the material is deleted, except to the extent a filed notice must remain evidenced.
Reference material is stored privately and is never served from a public address. We do not publish it, license it onward, or use it to provide the Service to any other customer.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of your User Content. We may remove content and close an account where content is unlawful or breaches section 10.
14. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Access may be suspended for maintenance, for security, or because of a failure at a provider the Service depends on, including search data providers whose indexes we query and platforms whose response times we do not control.
The Service depends on third-party sources and recipients. Changes to their interfaces, policies or availability may affect coverage, timing and outcomes. Unless a written service level agreement has been signed, no uptime commitment applies.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and snily.com disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
In particular, snily.com does not warrant that:
- every copy of your material will be found;
- any particular page will be removed, delisted, or removed within any given time;
- material removed will not be re-uploaded elsewhere;
- automated matching will be free of false positives or false negatives.
What we do undertake is that every finding is pursued through the channels available, that each case is reviewed by a person before a notice is filed, and that you can see where each case stands and why. Nothing in this section affects rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law applicable to you.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, snily.com is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, however caused and on any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility.
snily.com’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to snily.com in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless snily.com, its affiliates and their officers, employees and agents against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to: your User Content; a notice filed at your request or on the strength of the warranties in section 12; your breach of these Terms or of applicable law; or a claim by a third party, including a claim under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) or an equivalent provision, that a notice filed on your behalf was unfounded. We will notify you of any such claim, allow you to control its defence with counsel reasonably acceptable to us, and cooperate at your expense; you may not settle a claim in a way that imposes an obligation on snily.com without our written consent.
18. Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by cancelling your subscription and closing your account. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practicable and immediately where not, if you breach these Terms, if payment fails and is not remedied, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service would expose snily.com to legal risk.
On termination, scanning and filing stop, your right to use the Service ends, and your data is deleted or retained according to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy. Notices already filed are not withdrawn. Fees already paid are not refunded except as section 9 provides.
Sections 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20 and 22 survive termination, together with any other provision that by its nature should.
19. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of Laws of the Republic of Cyprus, courts of Nicosia, excluding its conflict of law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country in which you are habitually resident.
20. Dispute Resolution
Before commencing proceedings, write to [email protected] setting out the dispute. Most matters are resolved this way, and we undertake to respond substantively within 30 days.
If a dispute is not resolved within 60 days of that notice, it is submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Laws of the Republic of Cyprus, courts of Nicosia, save that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
Claims must be brought in an individual capacity and not as a claimant or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding, to the extent such a limitation is permitted by the law applicable to you. Nothing here prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in the courts of their own country of residence where the law gives them that right.
21. General Provisions
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order confirmation, are the entire agreement between you and snily.com on their subject matter and supersede any prior understanding.
If any provision is held unenforceable, it is limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder continues in force. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or transfer of assets. There are no third-party beneficiaries.
Neither party is liable for a failure to perform caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, excluding an obligation to pay. Notices to you are sent to the email address on your account; notices to us go to the address in section 23.
22. Changes to Terms
We may amend these Terms. The amended version is published on this page with the “Last updated” date changed, and material changes are sent to the email address on your account before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, cancel before it takes effect; continued use of the Service afterwards constitutes acceptance.
